WAKE UP WORDS: APRIL 28 2021

YOU'RE NOT ALONE. We tend to feel more supported and loved when we're doing well in life. But what about the areas in your life where you're truly struggling? Shame tells us to handle heart ache alone. Sometimes it whispers things like, "If they really knew you or your struggle they wouldn't like you." So we keep it in and fight alone. But what if you're really not alone? What if your pain is not unique? What if you reached out and shared with someone you trust - and their response is love? We have been through our share of heart ache... some of it we caused ourselves and other stuff ran us over like a Mac truck through no fault of our own. The only way we got through those seasons healed and whole was to embrace community and trust those around us. At times it was friends, or pastors and other times it was counseling.
